Job summary

KellyMitchell is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Analyst to bridge business requirements, architecture, and development. This role collaborates with Product Owners, Architects, and Developers to define the technical solution and path forward.

This position emphasizes creating technical artifacts, reviewing designs with architects, translating requirements into Jira stories, and guiding MuleSoft integration and data flows from backend systems to platforms like Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience as a Technical Analyst or similar role supporting software teams.
• Able to convert business requirements into detailed technical designs for developers.
• Experience creating SDDs/TDDs, system/process flows, diagrams, and Jira stories.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, integrations, databases, and application architecture.
• Working knowledge of SQL; PostgreSQL experience is relevant.
• Experience with MuleSoft integration tools.

Job Summary

Our client, a leading communication services provider, is looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Analyst who can bridge business requirements, architecture, and development. This is a highly technical analyst role where the individual will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Developers to take business needs and help define the technical solution and path forward.

This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate does not need to be a full Solution Architect, but must be technically strong enough to understand the underlying systems, contribute to solution design, create technical artifacts, and confidently walk architects and developers through the proposed approach
• Partner with Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed technical solutions
• Create and contribute to Software Design Documents (SDDs), Technical Design Documents (TDDs), process flows, diagrams, and other technical artifacts
• Work directly with Architects to review proposed designs, walk through technical solutions, incorporate feedback, and obtain architectural sign-off
• Break approved designs into detailed Jira stories/cards that can be assigned to development teams
• Serve as a technical bridge between Product, Architecture, and Development, helping pave the path for engineers to execute the solution
• Take ownership of integration-related analysis and design, including work involving MuleSoft
• Understand database architecture and data sourcing, including how data moves from backend systems into platforms such as Salesforce

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Strong experience as a Technical Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar hands-on technical role supporting software development teams
• Ability to take business requirements and translate them into a technical design that developers can build
• Experience creating and interpreting SDDs/TDDs, system/process flows, technical diagrams, Jira stories, and other technical documentation
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, and application architecture
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases; PostgreSQL experience is highly relevant
• Experience working with integration technologies such as MuleSoft

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Camunda or similar workflow/orchestration experience. Camunda expertise is not required coming into the role
• Exposure to Pega
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude, Kiro, or similar tools within technical analysis or software delivery workflows

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $49.00 and $70.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
