Overview

Role: Senior Technical Business Analyst

Location: Austin, TX 78702

Duration: 1+ Year Contract to Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between stakeholders and the development team. This role involves gathering and translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications, creating user stories, designing UI mockups, and supporting multiple projects simultaneously—ranging from small-scale screen builds to large-scale ERP integration initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can quickly understand business needs, facilitate design discussions, and drive solutions forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for multiple concurrent projects.
• Create clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Develop UI screen mockups and portal designs to visualize functionality and guide front-end development.
• Work closely with development teams in a sprint-based Agile environment to ensure requirements are understood and implemented accurately.
• Support projects ranging from small UI builds to 6-9 month ERP integration initiatives, including AR/AP and service system integrations.
• Facilitate data exchange and system integration design discussions between ERP backends, financial systems, and service platforms.
• Prepare detailed documentation of requirements, workflows, and technical specifications.
• Serve as the liaison between business units and developers to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and transition into development.
• Proactively identify roadblocks and help keep projects moving toward successful completion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a technical BA role.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments.
• Strong experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and screen mockups.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, AR/AP processes, and service management systems.
• Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating them into functional requirements.
• Knowledge of data integration concepts, including API-driven and ERP data exchange.
• Strong facilitation skills for requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
• Agile/Scrum experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with portal development and UI frameworks.
• Working knowledge of SQL or data query tools for validation and analysis.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Balsamiq, or similar.
• Background in enterprise-scale integration projects.
