Job summary

Pathfinder International is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor, Humanitarian and Business Development to lead strategic programme design and high‑level proposals across humanitarian and nexus contexts. The role partners with country offices, BD, MEL, and partnerships teams to translate strategy into fundable, evidence-based designs.

The position requires a Master’s degree and 10+ years in humanitarian programming, with strong donor proposal experience and excellent written and verbal

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in humanitarian programming and international development.
• Proven experience leading successful proposals for major institutional donors.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian architecture and nexus programming.
• Experience coordinating with multicultural, multi-country teams.
• Excellent communication, ability to tailor complex technical content to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of humanitarian, recovery, resilience, and nexus programmes.
• Translate donor priorities into innovative programme concepts.
• Ensure designs are gender-responsive, climate-sensitive, conflict-sensitive and country-led.
• Lead technical proposal development for strategic funding opportunities and oversee quality assurance.
• Develop technical narratives, implementation approaches, and theories of change.
• Support capture planning, partner engagement, and competitive analyses.
