Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Technical Advisor to join our component engineering group supporting DoW programs. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with test teams to characterize components, review data, and provide proactive solutions for complex technical issues.

Responsibilities include leading parts control board discussions, analyzing non-standard part approvals, and communicating findings to customers and program offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 35 or more years of relevant experience.
• Component or Systems Engineering experience with a focus on quality and reliability standards and methods of IEEE parts.
• Knowledgeable of best design practices for IEEE parts.
• Experience with military standards (MIL-STD), and various other industry standards in regards to the characteristics, performance, and survivability of component parts.
• Ability to analyze the differences between the military standards, and the part performance data.
• Ability to communicate ideas to customers, program office, colleagues, and contractors.
• Ability to write technical reports.
• Proven communications and analytical skills with a sense of urgency and in a timely manner through work experience.
• Experience with nuclear modernization efforts.
• Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance.

This exciting opportunity will support multiple programs across the Department of War (DoW) with system parts, planning, testing, and analysis. This position will work alongside project leads to ensure program success, and mentor junior engineers.

• Ability to provide technical guidance to junior level engineers.

Compensation Details

$180.00-$210.00 Hourly
