Job summary

Liftoff is seeking a skilled technical accountant to act as the company’s accounting expert across complex transactions and policy guidance. You will draft memos, research positions, and ensure our financial statements reflect US GAAP with precision.

You’ll collaborate with Legal, FP&A, and business teams on new contracts, equity-related disclosures, and equity-based compensation, while supporting audits and disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification is required.
• Public accounting experience, ideally Big 4.
• Expertise in US GAAP.
• Own deliverables with accountability and accuracy.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Research and document technical accounting positions (revenue, SBC, leases, debt, CapSW).
• Prepare journal entry support for complex areas (SBC, CapSW, Debt, significant non-recurring transactions).
• Own accounting policies and drive implementation of new standards.
• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, and business teams on new contracts and billing structures.
• Support audits with technical documentation.
• Prepare statements of equity and cash flows, and disclosures.
