SB Energy Corp seeks a Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting to support accounting policy, technical analyses, and complex transaction assessment, ensuring US GAAP/IFRS compliance. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred or actively pursuing CPA.
• 5–7+ years of accounting experience in a public company or SEC‑regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos, policy documentation, and audit support materials.
• Familiarity with SOX requirements and internal controls related to complex accounting areas.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply US GAAP and IFRS to support accurate accounting conclusions and financial reporting.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions (revenue recognition, equity-based compensation, business combinations, impairments, leases, debt modifications).
• Monitor, analyze, and implement new accounting standards; assess business impact and support adoption efforts.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting by ensuring proper accounting treatment and disclosures.
• Maintain and update accounting policies, whitepapers, and internal guidance documentation.
• Provide technical accounting support for significant contracts in partnership with Legal and FP&A.
• Support SOX and J-SOX compliance, including documentation and evaluation of controls.
• Perform accounting research to support internal controls, audits, and management judgment documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors on technical accounting topics and documentation requests.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure aligned accounting conclusions.
