Job summary

Impulse Space seeks a Senior Technical Accounting Analyst to join the Finance team in Redondo Beach. You will focus on technical accounting matters, especially revenue recognition under ASC 606, and review customer contracts for proper accounting treatment.

You will also support general ledger and month-end close, collaborating with Contracts, Programs, Operations, and Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting in an aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience reviewing customer contracts for accounting purposes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze performance obligations, billing milestones, and variable consideration.
• Assess milestone-based billing and ensure alignment with revenue and AR.
• Prepare technical accounting memorandums and research guidance.
• Support month-end close, GL, and financial reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, Operations, and Finance.
