Job summary

Badger Meter is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to lead external financial reporting and technical accounting. You will prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, research GAAP, and support new standards implementation, while coordinating with auditors and tax teams to ensure compliant, accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes policy maintenance, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• 5+ years accounting or finance experience; public company experience preferred.
• CPA certification required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K and related disclosures.
• Prepare monthly consolidated cash flow statements and supporting workpapers.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Lead 401(k) audit processes and assist with tax compliance-related schedules.
• Maintain the Company Accounting Policy Manual and support policy development.
