Job summary

Badger Meter Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to lead external financial reporting under U.S. GAAP. You will prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, maintain accounting policies, and support audits with cross-functional teams across the enterprise.

You will also drive lease accounting under ASC 842, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and coordination with tax colleagues for quarterly compliance. CPA required, 5+ years of public-company experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience; public company experience preferred.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K) with disclosures.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors during reviews and audits.
• Maintain lease accounting under ASC 842 and related disclosures.
• Oversee revenue recognition policies and ASC 606 compliance.
• Assist with tax schedules and quarterly tax compliance data gathering.
