Astrana Health is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Technical Accounting team in Alhambra, CA. This on-site role offers a hybrid option and a target compensation of $100,000 to $120,000 per year.

You will research complex accounting issues, support acquisition accounting, and help maintain policy documentation while ensuring our internal control environment keeps pace with growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required or actively in progress.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting experience with an emphasis on technical accounting or auditing SEC registrants.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 805, ASC 810, ASC 606.
• Experience preparing or assisting with technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation.
• Strong research and writing skills — ability to synthesize complex guidance into clear, well-supported conclusions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Technical Accounting Research & Policy: Research and draft technical memos on complex transactions under US GAAP.
• Business Combinations & Consolidation: Support ASC 805 allocations and consolidation analyses; coordinate with valuation specialists.
• Checklists, Frameworks & Documentation: Maintain checklists and gather supporting docs for audits.
• SOX & Internal Controls: Assist with design and documentation of internal controls and 404 testing evidence.
• External Reporting & Audit Support: Prepare disclosures for 10-K/10-Q and provide audit-ready support packages.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Controllership, SEC Reporting, FP&A, and Legal for inputs and clear communication.
