SENIOR TECHNICAL ACCOUNTANT

Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

We are partnering with a growing organization to hire a Senior Technical Accountant with a strong audit background. This is an exciting opportunity for someone coming from public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred) who enjoys diving into complex accounting matters and is looking for a hybrid work environment and excellent work-life balance.

Hybrid schedule – must be commutable to Pittsburgh, PA

Overview Of The Role

Research and analyze complex accounting issues in accordance with U.S. GAAP
Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos and whitepapers
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842, ASC 606)
Support internal controls and SOX compliance (if applicable)
Partner with cross-functional teams on M&A, process improvements, and system implementations
Assist with external audits and act as a liaison with external auditors

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA required or in progress)
4+ years of public accounting experience (audit-focused) – Big 4 or large regional firm preferred
Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to research accounting guidance
Experience with SEC reporting or working with public clients a plus
Proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail
