Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA, a division of a global food retailer, seeks a Technology Procurement & Licensing leader in Salisbury, NC. You will drive sourcing strategy, vendor management and financial governance to optimize costs and reduce risk, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in person and 2 remote days.

The role requires 10+ years in technology procurement, strong leadership, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams across Legal, Finance, and IT.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technology procurement or vendor management with delivery results.
• 3+ years leading or mentoring teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology or related field.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and cost optimization.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering procurement and vendor management activities on time and within budget.
• Translate priorities into clear team strategies and execution plans.
• Manage vendor spend, budgets and financial processes aligning with forecasts.
• Drive continuous improvement across sourcing, contract management and asset management.
• Ensure compliance with security, legal and financial requirements in all engagements.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to shape sourcing strategies and renewals.
• Lead sourcing events (RFP/RFI/RFQ) including evaluation and negotiation planning.
• Oversee contract lifecycle: intake, review, renewals and documentation.
• Manage PO creation, invoice processing and issue resolution with Finance.
• Maintain vendor performance scorecards, dashboards and reporting.
• Support IT/Software Asset Management including compliance and audit readiness.
• Hire, coach and develop team members fostering accountability and growth.
