Job summary

Atlas Copco in Houston, TX is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to deliver expert support for centrifugal compressors and rotating equipment, guiding customers and field teams to resolve complex issues and maintain equipment reliability.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and vendors, own root-cause analysis, manage CRM tickets and warranty support, and drive improvements in field service processes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field service, technical support, or maintenance experience in centrifugal compressors or turbomachinery.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical systems, controls, and electrical components.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities for urgent customer support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical resource for customers and field personnel, troubleshooting centrifugal compressors and turbomachinery.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues with timely, well-documented solutions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, vendors, and product companies to resolve issues and support customers.
• Manage technical support activities including documentation, corrective actions, root cause analysis, CRM tickets, and warranty-related support.
• Identify opportunities to improve field service processes and training across the organization.
