Job summary

Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is seeking a Service Technician to expand field service coverage. You will service products to ensure safe, high quality customer experiences, reporting to the Service Manager.

You will perform preventive service, troubleshoot, install systems, and complete documentation. The role includes on-call duty, travel to customer sites, and training at the Air Academy.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance or electrical fields.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Customer-focused and able to meet customer needs.
• Proficient with computers for work orders, parts ordering, and training.
• Must supply basic tools.
• Occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments with temperature extremes.
• Valid driver's license and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers (regenerative and refrigerated), drains, controllers, low pressure blowers.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
• Learn and apply more advanced knowledge (VSDs, refrigeration, industrial networks, remote monitoring, air audits).
• Pressure wash and clean equipment pads and surrounding areas.
• Communicate with customer and Service Manager about services performed and options for repairs or upgrades.
• Complete all service-related documentation (reports, startup forms, warranty forms, oil samples, parts returns).
• Attend training at our Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
• Promote safety procedures and proper PPE use.
• Provide a high level of customer service and respond to customer needs.
• Participate in rotating 24/7/365 on-call with travel to customer locations, including occasional overnight travel.
