Job summary

AspenTech is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our Supply Chain team, focusing on advanced optimization for production planning, scheduling, blending and related technologies. You will resolve complex technical issues, deliver expert guidance and trainings on AspenTech solutions to our global customers.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 5+ years of experience, and the ability to communicate clearly, present technical information, and travel up to 25% to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Chemical Engineering principles.
• Knowledge of chemical/manufacturing processes in refining, chemical, pharmaceutical or process industries.
• Experience with AspenTech Supply chain software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems reported by customers using AspenTech software.
• Escalate and drive resolution cross-functionally within AspenTech.
• Deliver high-quality training classes to AspenTech customers.
• Develop training materials for new releases and applications.
• Conduct pre-sales consultations to identify customer problems and propose AspenTech solutions.
• Identify growth opportunities by analyzing customer needs and usage.
• Build strong relationships with customers and understand their business challenges.
• Collaborate with other functions to develop business opportunities.
• Contribute to pre-release software testing to improve product quality.
• Coach teammates to enhance technical skills and contribution.
• Other duties: health checks, onsite support, deploy solutions, and publish technical papers.
