Job summary

AspenTech in Houston seeks an Advisory Technical Support Engineer to join the Supply Chain team, focusing on production planning, scheduling, blending and optimization. You will collaborate with customers to resolve technical issues and deliver expert guidance on AspenTech solutions, including Aspen PIMS, Scheduling & Blending Optimization, and Unified technology.

We value a chemical engineering background, 12+ years of experience, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering in related discipline.
• Minimum of 12+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Chemical Engineering principles.
• Knowledge & experience of chemical and manufacturing business processes in refining, chemical, pharmaceutical or process industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide loyalty-inspiring customer service and support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems reported by customers.
• Deliver high-quality training classes on AspenTech solutions.
• Conduct pre-sales consultations to identify customer needs and articulate AspenTech products as solutions.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and contribute to cross-functional opportunities.
• Coach team members to enhance technical skills and overall contribution.
