Job summary

PNC is seeking an experienced Independent Tech Risk Manager Senior to lead fraud risk oversight within the BSA/AML function. Based in multiple US cities including Pittsburgh, the role combines deep subject-matter expertise with hands-on risk advisory across enterprise fraud programs.

You will partner with business, operations and technology leaders to identify threats, assess controls and drive risk-informed decisions.

Qualifications

15+ years of experience in fraud risk management, financial crimes, or related fields in banking/financial services.
Expertise across multiple fraud domains including payment, account takeover, identity and digital fraud.
Strong understanding of enterprise risk management and second line of defense responsibilities.
Ability to influence senior leaders without direct reporting authority.

Responsibilities

Provide independent oversight and credible challenge of fraud risk management activities across lines of business and IT.
Assess design and effectiveness of fraud controls including prevention, detection, investigation and recovery.
Evaluate emerging fraud threats and loss trends to recommend mitigations.
Challenge risk assessments, control assessments, and remediation plans with governance bodies.
Translate complex fraud risks into clear narratives for senior management and risk committees.
Support development of fraud risk frameworks, policies, and reporting.
Monitor key risk indicators and escalate material concerns through governance channels.
