Job summary

YouGov Deutschland GmbH is seeking an accomplished Senior Research Director to lead the Custom Technology Research team, guiding complex ad hoc and tracking studies and advising clients and internal stakeholders. The role blends executive consulting with hands-on research design, field management, data analysis, and reporting.

The position reports to the leader of YouGov's Custom Technology team in Portland, OR. Remote candidates in North America may be considered, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of supplier-side custom market research experience.
• Experience leading ad hoc and tracking studies.
• Senior client advisor with multiple projects in fast-paced env.
• Deep expertise in survey-based quantitative research.
• Experience in technology markets (B2C/B2B).
• Familiar with segmentation, MaxDiff, conjoint, pricing research.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end quantitative research engagements from proposal to delivery.
• Manage multiple complex projects balancing quality, timelines, budgets, client expectations.
• Serve as senior day-to-day contact and strategic advisor for programs.
• Translate business challenges into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Grow client relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Support business development through proposal writing and pricing.
• Develop insight-driven reports and compelling business narratives.
• Collaborate with analytics and Marketing Science teams on methodologies.
• Contribute to thought leadership in Technology, AI, Gaming, and Digital Entertainment.
