Job summary

Ameriprise Financial is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own end-to-end technology projects and releases. You will plan, manage scope, schedule, budget and quality while directing project resources and stakeholders.

You will develop project vision, drive milestones, and ensure testing and sign-off. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and a track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, business, or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years across all phases of software development life cycle.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills including executive level presentations.
• Proven success delivering large-scale technology projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an annual portfolio of high profile technology projects (budgets $5MM to $10MM+) with effective management of budget, schedule, scope, quality and risk.
• Develop the overall project vision, approach, objectives and key deliverables; create a comprehensive project plan with milestones and accountabilities.
• Identify and align resource requirements (on‑shore/off‑shore, employees and contractors) and lead teams to timely delivery.
• Collaborate with business partners and vendors to align project objectives and expectations across stakeholders.
• Create and manage the project readiness plan; lead post‑implementation reviews and present metrics for quality evaluation.
• Mentor Project Managers and Coordinators to propagate PM best practices.
