Job summary

Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Senior Project Manager to own technology projects end-to-end. You will plan, manage budgets from $5M to $10M+ and lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex releases on schedule.

The role requires 7-10 years of experience across the software development lifecycle, exceptional communication skills, and a track record of successful project delivery. On-site with a robust benefits program is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years across all phases of software development life cycle.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills including executive level presentations.
• Proven success delivering large-scale technology projects on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of one or more technology projects or releases.
• Plan and manage cost, schedule, scope, quality and resources following appropriate methodologies.
• Develop project vision, plan, milestones and success measures.
• Provide regular status reporting and ensure company standards are followed.
• Identify resources (on-shore/off-shore) and lead teams to deliver commitments.
• Mentor junior project staff and contribute to PM best practices.
