Job summary

Codeword, a remote-first PR and marketing agency, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to be a key day-to-day contact across up to six accounts, turning complex tech into compelling stories and delivering high-impact earned attention for clients.

You will cultivate journalist relationships, craft tailored pitches, manage speaking and awards efforts, attend events, and collaborate with Strategy and Insights teams while leveraging AI to improve efficiency without compromising quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tech (B2B and/or consumer).
• You’re an avid trendspotter with creative storytelling for modern audiences.
• Comfortable servicing a broad range of clients from startups to large enterprises.
• Owns deliverables in a high-context, low-control environment without step-by-step guidance.
• Maintains deep, respectful media relationships with reporters, influencers and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day program execution across up to 6 accounts with Strategy team support.
• Build enduring relationships with journalists, creators and analysts.
• Craft tailored pitches that turn complex tech into compelling stories.
• Score earned attention across all media verticals and mediums.
• Own clients’ speaking and awards programs and manage stage appearances.
• Attend trade shows, conferences and events as Codeword representative.
• Collaborate with Insights & Analytics to report PR ROI.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline workflow while maintaining human-quality control.
• Lead by example and mentor junior talent on client-facing work and narrative building.
• Foster long-term client relationships and bring creative ideas beyond traditional PR.
