Job summary

GLD is looking for a hands-on Head of Technology to lead a major website rebuild in 2026 and a WMS implementation in 2027. You will drive architectural decisions, oversee a senior engineering team, and push AI-driven initiatives across ecommerce and internal tooling.

You will partner with the CEO, CMO, Operations and Finance to translate technology into revenue and efficiency gains while maintaining site performance and security at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering/technology, hands on full stack.
• Deep ecommerce experience, ideally DTC/omnichannel.
• Track record leading large scale migrations or rebuilds.
• Real experience building with AI, not just following.
• Strong CRO, site performance, and technical SEO knowledge.
• Experience with API integrations and ERP/OMS systems.
• Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
• Comfortable in fast paced, resource constrained environments.
• Preferred: Shopify/Shopify Plus, Hydrogen/headless commerce, NetSuite, OMS/WMS implementations.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead GLD’s developer team, hire and develop talent, set standards, write code and review PRs.
• Own technical performance of GLD’s ecommerce site, speed, uptime, CRO tools, app stack, SEO, and checkout.
• Deliver end-to-end 2026 website rebuild: architecture, integrations, QA, migration strategy.
• Lead 2027 WMS rollout: vendor eval, integration architecture, data migration, testing.
• Head GLD’s AI agenda across customer facing and internal tools, including personalization and forecasting.
• Own analytics stack and data pipelines across ecommerce, marketing, finance and operations.
• Own hosting, cloud infrastructure, security and uptime, managing technical debt.
