Job summary

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Tech and IP Litigation Associate to join our IP litigation team in New York, Seattle, or Washington, DC. You will work on high-stakes disputes in federal courts and before the ITC and PTAB, alongside leading IP litigators.

The role requires JD from an ABA-accredited school, bar admission, and 3–7 years IP litigation experience across patents, ITC hearings, and PTAB proceedings.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent undergraduate and law school academic record.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to handle complex IP disputes in district court, before ITC and in PTAB proceedings for high-profile clients.
• Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and develop litigation strategy for patent validity and infringement.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery plans, and other critical documents.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials, including reviewing evidence and engaging with experts.
• Stay abreast of emerging IP and tech issues, including standards and patent misuse defenses.
• Provide support for appeals and amicus briefs before the Federal Circuit and Supreme Court.
