Davis Wright Tremaine LLP seeks a mid to senior level Technology and Intellectual Property Litigation Associate for Seattle, New York, or Washington, DC. This role focuses on high-stakes disputes in federal courts, ITC, and PTAB, collaborating with leading IP litigators across semiconductors, software, telecoms, and biotech.

Expect deep involvement in litigation strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, and potential appeals, with opportunities to grow within a premier AmLaw 100 IP practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. with excellent academic record and bar admission to the relevant state.
• 3–7 years of IP litigation experience including patent matters.
• Strong technical background in semiconductors, software, telecoms, biotech or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to handle complex IP disputes in district court, ITC, and PTAB.
• Conduct legal research and help develop litigation strategy on patent and related issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery plans, and other key documents.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials, including trial materials and expert interaction.
• Stay current on IP law developments and technology standards.
• Support appeals and amicus briefs before the Federal Circuit and Supreme Court.
