Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a Senior Compensation Partner to own compensation strategy for the Technology organization, covering Engineering, Infrastructure, ML/AI, and Data Science. You will be the primary Total Rewards advisor to Technology leadership and Coordinate with Talent Directors and Recruiting globally.

You will shape complex programs, build models and tools, and mentor the team while partnering with regional colleagues to ensure consistency across markets.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of compensation or analytics experience, ideally supporting the technical side of the business at a high-growth technology company in a global environment.
• Proven track record as the primary compensation advisor to executive or C-level technical leaders.
• Ownership of the design and strategy of complex, global compensation programs, with financial accountability.
• Breadth across base pay, equity and incentive design, job architecture and leveling, and pay equity.
• Expert knowledge of third-party survey methodologies (Radford/Mercer/WTW).
• Expert analytical skills with Excel/Google Sheets and SQL/Python/R; experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Tableau, or similar BI/compensation platforms.
• Active use of AI tools to accelerate workflows; hands-on experience building AI-powered tools or data products.
• Strong communication skills to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders; present analyses to executives.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Data Science, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior compensation advisor to Technology leadership across Engineering, Infrastructure, ML/AI, and Data Science with ownership of high-stakes decisions.
• Provide direction to Talent Directors and their teams, presenting recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional executives.
• Own Airbnb's market positioning for technical talent and develop benchmarking methodologies and role evaluation frameworks.
• Help design and execute complex global compensation programs, including budgeting and ROI considerations.
• Construct financial models projecting long-term implications of compensation strategy for executives and board planning.
• Collaborate with regional Total Rewards Partners to maintain a global view while addressing regional dynamics.
• Lead end-to-end compensation cycle strategy for Technology, including budgeting and manager enablement.
• Build external networks with survey providers and peers to inform leadership decisions for top candidates.
• Develop compensation models, tools, and frameworks including AI-powered benchmarking and automated reporting.
• Mentor partners and analysts and create enablement materials for tech leaders.
