Job summary

Photon is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to drive requirements engineering across a complex portfolio of enterprise applications. You will elicit, document, and validate business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to ensure clear, testable deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in business analysis within software engineering, strong API/json/data modeling skills, and hands-on

Qualifications

Must have strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills.
Experience creating functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams.

Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, objectives, and success criteria.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to uncover business needs and opportunities.
Identify, document, and validate business rules, workflows, and decision points.
Perform deep-dive analysis of enterprise applications to understand current-state functionality and data flows.
Analyze system behavior to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
Maintain documentation of application functionality and business processes.
Create detailed FRDs, feature specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Develop requirements using GIVEN / WHEN / THEN (BDD) formats where appropriate.
