Whitman Advisory Job Community in Roseland, NJ seeks an experienced Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support attorneys in a sophisticated practice. The role focuses on estate administration, trust administration, and tax-related matters for high-net-worth clients.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate, and strong skills in document drafting, tax filings, and confidential matter handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• 7+ years of experience in Trusts & Estates or Tax Paralegal role.
• Experience with estate, gift, fiduciary income tax filings preferred.
• Familiarity with surrogate court filings and probate procedures.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with estate, trust, tax, and business- succession planning.
• Prepare probate, surrogate court, fiduciary, and tax filings.
• Draft estate and trust documents, correspondence, and beneficiary communications.
• Gather, review, and organize financial records for tax returns and compliance.
• Coordinate asset valuations and maintain estate/trust inventories.
• Prepare IRS filings and support tax controversy matters.
• Assist with Form 706 and Form 709 filings and schedules.
• Support transactional matters including entity formation and charitable planning.
• Liaise with clients, accountants, advisors, and authorities.
• Maintain files, calendars, deadlines, and billing records.
