Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior for Private Client Services in Houston, TX. You will leverage your tax expertise and client‑facing skills to deliver compliance and consulting to high net‑worth individuals, families, and related entities.

You will prepare complex returns, supervise junior staff, and contribute to advisory projects while working in a collaborative, high‑touch environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; OR bachelor’s with CPA certification
• Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Two+ years of prior tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax engagements and develops client solutions
• Gathers information from clients and advisors to prepare tax returns
• Prepares complex returns (individual, trust, estate, S‑Corp, foundation, partnership, gifts) Federal and State
• Reviews basic returns and provides feedback to staff
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts responses
• Performs advanced tax research and develops recommendations for PCS leadership
• Works in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Prioritizes tasks and supports business development with clients
