Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group is seeking a Tax Manager to lead diverse engagements across individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations. You will review tax returns, conduct detailed research, and drive planning opportunities while managing multiple teams to meet client deadlines.

Applicants should have a CPA license or JD or MS in Taxation, a Bachelor’s in accounting, and 5+ years in public accounting tax roles. Travel to client sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license, JD, or MS in Taxation required.
• 5+ years in a public accounting tax department, leading engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee complete tax research projects for clients across diverse industries.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide counsel in evaluations and professional development discussions.
• Participate as an instructor or discussion leader in development programs.
