Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking a Tax Experienced Senior in Core Tax Services to lead tax compliance, research, and consulting activities. You will coordinate with associates, supervise work, and ensure timely delivery while applying tax knowledge and planning insights.

The role involves handling complex tax issues, documenting positions, and collaborating with Assurance counterparts to plan accrual reviews. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA or eligibility to test required.
• Master's in accountancy or taxation preferred.
• 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting, industry, or consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client tax compliance and minimize tax burdens while adhering to firm policies and TQM.
• Lead tax projects: plan processes, manage budgets, schedule resources.
• Review returns and prepare notes; communicate expectations to preparers.
• Identify book-to-tax differences and discuss uncertain positions with team.
• Draft tax provision memorandums and discuss with the tax team.
• Mentor and supervise Core Tax Services Associates.
