Job summary

H&R Block in Minnesota is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team and advanced tax training to help you succeed.

You will interview clients, prepare complete returns, and contribute to client growth while helping with IRS notices and audits as needed. This role blends customer service with tax expertise in a fast-paced, supportive franchise office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support (all certification levels can provide tax notice services; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation).
• Mentor and support teammates.
