H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll perform tax interviews through video, phone, chat or email and prepare complete tax returns with accuracy, under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

You’ll help grow the business, retain clients, and offer additional products and services while meeting continuing education and IRS requirements.

Qualifications

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, email
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Mentor and support teammates
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience with virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to gather tax information using in-person and virtual tools
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for various client structures
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve client retention
• Provide IRS support and audit notice services where applicable
• Mentor and support teammates in daily tasks and training

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

CPA or Enrolled Agent certification

High school diploma / equivalent
