Job summary

Bryn Mawr Trust (a WSFS Company) is seeking a Tax Manager, Personal Tax Services to lead the preparation of complex trust and individual returns and tax reporting for investment management accounts.

The role requires 7+ years of trust tax experience, 3+ years of management, and credentials (EA, CPA, or JD). Collaborate with wealth advisors and tax colleagues to resolve notices and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• 7+ years of trust tax experience.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience, including secondary review of complex tax returns.
• Credentialed tax professional (EA, CPA, or JD).
• Excellent computer skills across multiple processing systems and platforms.
• Strong written and oral communication with clients and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complicated trust and individual federal, state and local tax returns.
• Research tax issues and collaborate with wealth advisors and managers to resolve notices.
• Apply federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure timely compliance for accounts.
• Collect and maintain client tax materials and facilitate timely filing.
• Review account documentation for accurate tax coding and reserves.
• Respond to notices from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
• Stay current with tax law changes and apply them to accounts.
• Support Bryn Mawr Trust mission and client service objectives.
