Job summary

Andersen Tax LLC in New York City is seeking a Senior Manager for its Private Client Services (PCS) practice. You will lead multiple engagement teams serving sophisticated clients, including wealthy families and family offices, with opportunities to build cross‑line tax strategies.

You will develop business, supervise and mentor staff, review complex federal/state returns, and draft tax memoranda while receiving ongoing PCS training alongside top tax leaders.

Qualifications

• 6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least5 years of Private Client experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree – Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred).
• Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD).
• Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Proficient use of technology.

Responsibilities

• Engage in business development activities (i.e. prepare proposals, present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients).
• Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns – including federal and state filings.
• Draft technical tax memoranda.
• Supervise train, mentor, and evaluate Intern, Associate and Senior Associates.
• Receive formal PCS and on the job training in daily interactions with top tax leaders to learn more about legislative changes, wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies, buy/sell agreement planning, etc.
