Andersen in San Diego, CA seeks an experienced Manager for its Private Client Services (PCS) practice. You will oversee multiple engagement teams, guide tax planning, and mentor junior staff while delivering thoughtful, compliant client service to high-net-worth families and family offices.

The role emphasizes leadership, project management, and deep technical tax knowledge, with formal PCS and on-the-job training and opportunities for client development across the firm’s broad advisory platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years in Private Client services.
• Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (preferred).
• Advanced credential allowing IRS client representation (CPA or JD).
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to enhance project management and client service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead changes.
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
• Draft technical tax memoranda.
• Assist with tax audits and notices, including responses for IDR requests.
• Manage resources and coordinate scheduling needs; demonstrate ownership and commitment to clients.
