Job summary

Whitley Penn is seeking a Tax Senior Manager with a strong focus on Partnerships & Private Equity taxation to join our Houston team. The role serves as a liaison between partners, clients and staff, managing multiple engagements and guiding engagement workflow.

The position requires an Active CPA license, 7+ years in public accounting, and a background in partnerships/private equity tax. In-office schedule with standard hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the partner, the client, and the professional staff.
• Assume full responsibility for multiple tax returns and client engagements; manage client relationships and expectations, monitor engagement economics and coordinate engagement workflow.
• Review and/or prepare 1065, 1040, 1120, and 1120S tax returns, quarterly estimates, extensions and year-end projections.
• Develop comprehensive client service plans for engagements in collaboration with the team.
