Job summary

Whitley Penn, a leading audit, tax, and advisory firm, seeks a Tax Manager with strong partnerships and private equity taxation expertise to join our team in Dallas, Plano, or Fort Worth, TX. In-office role with standard 8:00–17:00 hours and overtime as needed.

The Tax Manager will supervise engagements, review returns (1065/1040/1120 series), manage client relationships, and drive tax planning and consulting services for portfolio companies and funds.

Qualifications

• Public accounting background with 5+ years in tax engagements.
• Strong background in partnerships and private equity taxation at portfolio company and fund level.
• CPA license required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates and manage multiple tax engagements from planning through delivery.
• Prepare/review complex partnership and PE tax returns and projections.
• Research tax issues and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Interact with clients to identify value-added services and improve processes.
