Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• 5–7 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Keeps up-to-date with changing tax industry regulations and policies.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Ability to focus on complex tasks and understand the firm’s compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and signs individual, business, and other tax returns for clients.
• Collaborates with the tax team on planning, client interaction and special tax projects.
• Evaluates tax situations to maximize tax benefits.
• Develops solutions and communicates them to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships and contributes to business development.
• Mentors and provides technical training for staff.
• Supervises Associate and Senior Associate level staff and delegates duties.
• Attends training seminars, professional development and networking events.
