Eide Bailly LLP is seeking a Tax Senior Associate in Bismarck, ND. The role focuses on preparing tax returns, collaborating on planning with the tax team, and gathering information to ensure accurate filings.

You will mentor junior staff and participate in professional development, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations while contributing to a collaborative, in-office and hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Active CPA license preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
• 2–4 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Proactive and able to work independently and in a team.
• Comfort with firm tax processes and compliance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, business and other tax returns for clients in various entities and industries.
• Collaborate with tax team on planning, client interaction and special tax projects.
• Gather tax-related information from clients to ensure accurate returns.
• Analyze tax positions to maximize benefits for clients.
• Develop solutions and communicate them to the engagement team and clients.
• Prepare accounting-related reports in a paperless office environment.
• Train and mentor junior staff in the tax department.
• Participate in training seminars and professional development activities.
