A leading professional services firm is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to lead complex tax engagements and serve as a trusted advisor. This role is ideal for an experienced leader with strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering high-quality client service.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

• Serve as a subject matter expert within the business unit and actively share knowledge
• Recommend and support improvements to internal department procedures
• Identify and pursue business opportunities to support organizational growth
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing insight on industry trends, identifying issues and conflicts, and proactively communicating solutions to clients and internal teams
• Manage staff and oversee engagement deliverables, including financial statements, tax returns, and workpapers; perform technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality standards are met
• Support new client development in partnership with senior leadership through client meetings, presentations, and proposal development, while meeting cross-service goals
• Oversee billing and realization for assigned engagements; develop budgets and explain variances
• Understand and address the client's Qualified Plan needs, as applicable
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff through effective communication and leadership
• Develop team members by providing ongoing feedback and performance evaluations
• Promote a collaborative team environment, support management decisions, and contribute to a positive culture
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience
• Active CPA or equivalent certification required
• Proven ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels
• Proficiency with applicable technology
• Ability to travel based on business needs
