Job summary

Brown Edwards is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our Tax practice in the United States. The role focuses on leading engagements, reviewing returns, and performing tax research while coordinating client information and deadlines. CPA designation is preferred, with ample opportunity to supervise Associates and develop technical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 2 years public accounting experience preferred.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and firm-supported software applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to supervise and train Associates effectively.
• Willingness to remain current through continuing professional education and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Reviews tax returns and supporting workpapers for accuracy and completeness.
• Performs tax research and communicates findings to Managers and Partners.
• Coordinates client information requests and monitors engagement timelines.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Serves as primary day-to-day engagement lead, coordinating workflow and staffing.
