Job summary

Armanino LLP is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex engagements for individuals, partnerships, and S & C corporations. You will review work papers and returns, advise on tax implications of transactions, and develop responses to audits.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate has a CPA/EA, 8+ years in public accounting taxation, and a preference for a Master’s in accounting or taxation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline.
• Qualified to practice before the IRS (JD, CPA, or EA).
• Minimum of 8 years in public accounting taxation, with 4+ years in management.
• Preference for master's degree in accounting or taxation.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of engagement work papers and tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, and S/C corporations.
• Provide consultation on business or personal transactions and related tax implications.
• Develop responses to IRS and other tax authorities' audits and notices.
• Manage large, complex engagements and staffing to minimize risk and maximize engagement economics.
• Lead new business development opportunities and pursue extended services for clients.
