Job summary

Armanino is a leading accounting and consulting firm seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead and manage complex engagements for individuals, partnerships, and corporations in Atlanta.

You will provide strategic tax consulting, develop responses to audits, and guide junior staff while maintaining client relations. A CPA/EA and at least 8 years in public accounting taxation are required, including 4 years in a managerial role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline.
• Qualified to practice before the IRS (i.e, JD, CPA, or EA).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years in a managerial role involving clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of engagement work papers and tax returns as it relates to Individuals, Partnerships, S and C-corporations.
• Provide consultation on business and/or personal transactions and the related tax implications, consequences and treatment.
• Develop responses to IRS and other regulatory and tax authorities' audits, notices and inquiries.
• Manage larger and complex engagements and workflow of multiple clients and related deliverables to minimize risk and surprises, maximize engagement economics, meet deadlines and develop less experienced personnel.
