Job summary

Prosperity Partners, a Chicago-headquartered public accounting firm with offices across the United States, seeks an energetic tax professional to support our growing practice. You will prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts, research complex issues, and communicate results to clients.

Reporting to Managers and Partners, you will work directly with clients in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting Degree from an accredited four-year university.
• CPA designation or has made progress toward passing the exam.
• 3+ years’ experience in a tax-focused position.
• Proven understanding of complex accounting entries.
• Experience preparing tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Corporations, and Trusts.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize assignments and interface with clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex matters to clients or government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax preparation and consulting services to clients.
• Prepare workpapers and research complex tax issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients and management.
• Work directly with clients and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
