Job summary

Prosperity Partners in Chicago seeks an energetic tax professional to support our growing practice. You will work directly with clients to provide tax preparation and consulting services, prepare workpapers, research complex tax issues, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree from an accredited four-year university.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA.
• 3+ years of tax-focused public accounting experience.
• Proven understanding of complex accounting entries.
• Experience preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize assignments and interface with clients.
• Strong communication skills, with proven ability to communicate complicated matters to clients or government agencies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Availability to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workpapers, research complex tax issues and communicate effectively to clients.
• Provide tax preparation and consulting services to clients.
• Work directly with clients and report to Managers and Partners in a deadline-driven environment.
