Job summary

Aprio’s Tax team is seeking a Senior Associate to join our dynamic group. Interact with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services across diverse industries and help maximize opportunities.

You will oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns, develop strategies to optimize the company’s tax position, and mentor a team of tax professionals while delivering proactive advice and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 3–5 years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance in public accounting.
• Experience with Corporate, S‑Corp, and/or Partnership returns.

Responsibilities

• Interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services benefiting clients in diverse industries
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize our company's tax position while considering business goals, industry trends, and regulatory changes
• Collaborate with clients and provide proactive tax advice and solutions
• Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and development
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
• Coordinate workload distribution, projects, and training initiatives within the tax department

• Recent work experience with an accounting firm
• 3-5 years of experience in federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
