Job summary

Aprio’s Tax group is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join their dynamic team. You will work with middle to large clients, providing tax planning, consulting and compliance services while building strong client relationships.

You will oversee the preparation and filing of returns, develop tax strategies, and lead a team of tax professionals, mentoring junior staff and coordinating workloads within the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Recent work experience with an accounting firm.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of tax returns.
• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business goals and regulations.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Associate in Aprio’s Tax department, a typical day might include:

• Interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services benefitingclients in diverse industries
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize our company’s tax position while considering business goals, industry trends, and regulatory changes
• Collaborate with clients and provide proactive tax advice and solutions
• Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and development
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
  Coordinate workload distribution, projects, and training initiatives within the tax department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Recent work experience with an accounting firm
• 3-5 years of experience in federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting
• Experience in Corporate, S-Corp. and/or Partnership returns
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
• Licensed CPA or EA preferred
