Job summary

Aprio's Tax team is seeking a Senior Associate to help clients maximize opportunities through planning, consulting, and compliance services. You will oversee tax return preparation and drive strategies that optimize the firm's tax position.

You will lead a team of tax professionals, mentor staff, and cultivate strong client relationships while delivering proactive tax advice across corporate, S-Corp, and partnership returns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Recent work experience with an accounting firm.
• 3–5 years of federal tax consulting or public accounting experience.
• Experience with corporate, S-Corp and/or partnership returns.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of tax returns.
• Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business goals and regulatory changes.

Responsibilities:

• Interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services benefitingclients in diverse industries
• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns
• Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize our company's tax position while considering business goals, industry trends, and regulatory changes
• Collaborate with clients and provide proactive tax advice and solutions
• Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and development
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
• Coordinate workload distribution, projects, and training initiatives within the tax department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Recent work experience with an accounting firm
• 3-5 years of experience in federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting
• Experience in Corporate, S-Corp. and/or Partnership returns
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
