REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience to include experience in a "Big 7" accounting firm – Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernest & Young (EY), KPMG, Grant Thornton, BDO, RSM
- 5+ years in public accounting and multinational corporate environments, with exposure to the Professional Services industry
- 5+ years’ experience preparing complex Q4 tax provisions
- Experience preparing annual multi-state tax filings, ensuring compliance with varying state regulations and filing requirements.
- Familiarity with tax software, databases and global ERP
- Advanced user of Excel, ability to create and maintain tax calculation models
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage complex tax projects and tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, focused on delivering value to internal stakeholders and supporting tax compliance objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the ASC 740 tax provision process, including preparation, model updates, and coordination with accounting teams and external advisors
- Work with external tax advisors to prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns and estimate tax extension payments (Income, Sales & Use Tax, GST, and property tax)
- Provide tax guidance on business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and support M&A integration efforts.
- Manage state and local tax audits and inquiries and negotiate with federal and state tax authorities to resolve any issues or disputes
- Drive tax process improvements aligned with company initiatives, seeking opportunities to modernize operations
- Manage the tax calendar and coordinate with key stakeholders to support tax operations
- Collaborate with accounting and U.S. business units to gather data and prepare Effective Tax Rate analyses
- Research and analyze state and local tax laws and regulations and monitor changes that may affect our business
- Perform reconciliations for tax-related general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
- Support various tax projects as required by the business
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Prior exposure to International Global corporations
Hybrid Work Schedule: 3 days – office / 2 days – remote
