Senior Tax Analyst at LHH Recruitment Solutions

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a talented Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading company in the oil & gas industry, known for its robust inventory, quick delivery, engineered solutions, and expert consultative services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Calculate current tax liabilities and receivables.
2. Prepare and review book-tax differences, including those related to property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) such as depreciation and disposals.
3. Assist in calculating tax reserves and reconciling.
4. Maintain internal controls to ensure data accuracy and security.
5. Analyze and calculate depreciation, acquisitions, and dispositions of fixed assets.
6. Review and map trial balances for multiple domestic entities.
7. Compile carryforward information for losses and credits.
8. Assist with federal and state tax estimates and prepare and review state income tax returns.
9. Monitor legislative and administrative changes in tax law.
10. Prepare for tax examinations and respond to notices from tax authorities.
11. Require over 4 years of experience in tax compliance and provisioning within a public accounting firm or large multinational corporation.
12. Proficiency with corporate tax compliance and provision software.
13. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master of Accounting or Taxation is preferred.
